Lower Eyelid Blepharoplasty Surgery

A lower eyelid blepharoplasty surgery helps us improve the appearance of the lower eyelids when they have excess skin, appear “crepe” like and especially if they appear puffy, saggy or dark and make you appear tired or old. Often there is a protrusion or herniation of fat that we will remove along with the excess skin and creping. You might benefit from a lower eyelid blepharoplasty if your lower eyelids are too puffy, baggy or too full in appearance or you have excess skin and “crepe” like wrinkles beneath your eyes.

We perform lower eyelid blepharoplasty surgery as an outpatient procedure using local anesthesia and light sedation. The actual surgery typically takes no more than 30 minutes. If necessary we can enter the fat pockets through an invisible incision made in the inner lining of the lower eyelid. If there is excess skin that we need to remove we will do this through an external approach without scarring. The lower eyelid blepharoplasty surgery procedure is long lasting and usually never has to be repeated. As with upper eyelid blepharoplasty surgery our goal is to provide you with results that are so natural that friends, family members and coworkers will simply say, “You Look Great!” without even knowing that you have had eyelid surgery.
