Upper Eyelid Blepharoplasty Eye Lift Surgery

An upper eyelid blepharoplasty surgery or “eye lift” helps us to improve two characteristics of aging upper eyelids. First, we are able to correct and eliminate the excess droopy saggy skin of the upper eyelid, a condition referred to as "hooding of the upper lid." Then, we are also able to correct the puffiness in the inner corner and middle of the upper eyelid that results from the pushing forward or herniation of the fat located in these areas above the eye. It is most common to perform upper eyelid blepharoplasty at the same time as lower eyelid blepharoplasty in order to achieve an alert, awake, rejuvenated and energetic youthful appearance. By improving or eliminating droopy, puffy or saggy upper eyelid we can help you avoid the appearance of lacking energy, looking tired and older. If your eyes are more open and relatively free of creases and folds, you will project a more rested and youthful appearance so you can look your best. You might benefit from an upper eyelid blepharoplasty if your upper eyelids appear “hooded,” you have difficulty putting on makeup, even after a good night’s sleep you still look tired, you are starting to have bulges in the corners of your upper eyelid or if your eyes just feel heavy.

We perform upper eyelid blepharoplasty surgery as an outpatient procedure using local anesthesia and light sedation. The actual surgery typically takes no more than 30 minutes. We take precise care to locate and hide the incision in your eyelid creases so it looks quite natural and invisible. Our goal is to provide you with results that are so natural that friends, family members and coworkers will simply say, “You Look Great!” without even knowing that you have had eyelid surgery.
